For Steve Jacobs, the practice of law is a way of life. His heritage – the son, grandson, and nephew of lawyers – got him there. His commitment and drive have kept him there. Over the course of nearly 27 years, he has helped hundreds of injured people obtain fair compensation. He has helped them through hard times and enabled them to find a brighter future. He understands that paving the road to recovery requires not only effective trial advocacy but also compassion and empathy; that one must truly know the client’s suffering to effectively advocate for a remedy. A generation of clients will vouch for the skill and care with which he, together with his experienced staff, has handled personal injury, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation cases. The law reports will attest to his skill as an effective appellate advocate.Steve is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. He has given numerous seminars on topics within the specialties of personal injury and workers’ compensation law. He serves as a factfinder/arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Court and as a Special Master in the United States District Court. He currently serves as president of the board of directors of Jewish Family Service of Greater New Haven. In his spare time, he teaches Sunday School at Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester, Connecticut, plays the violin and guitar, and watches his teenage daughters play lacrosse. He is a retired marathoner.
